Frequently Asked Questions about Your Free Quote
Quick answers about timing, pricing, what’s included, and how the process works.
How long does the quote take?
The quote form takes about 2–3 minutes. Most estimates are prepared from your details and photos—no onsite visit needed unless your home has unique features. You should get a response from us in 1–3 days.
What info should I have ready?
Address, service type (roofline, peaks, ridges, gutters, trees, wreaths/garland), color preference, photos (front of home + any areas you want lit), and target install window. Optional: HOA notes and budget comfort.
Do you need to come out for the quote?
Not usually. We use your photos and mapping tools to estimate footage and complexity. If your project is complex (steep roof, tall peaks, large trees), we may schedule a quick site preview—at no charge.
What’s included in the proposal?
A clear visual or line-item outline, footage and placement, bulb color(s), timer style, all materials (commercial LEDs, cords, clips), professional installation, in-season maintenance, January takedown, and off-season storage.
How is pricing determined?
Based on linear footage, roof pitch/height, custom elements (ridge lines, peaks, dormers), trees & landscape lighting, and design complexity. We’ll show good/better/best options so you can choose.
What about colors and styles?
Choose warm or pure white, classic red/green, or custom combos. See quick examples in the Color Guide above, or view our full Color Guide for inspiration.
How soon can you install after I approve?
We’ll offer the next available dates when you approve. Most homes install in 2–4 hours. Weather delays? We automatically shift to the next clear window and keep you updated.
Do I need to be home for install or takedown?
Not required. Please ensure outdoor outlets are live and pets are secured. Takedown is scheduled in January; no entry to the home is needed.
What if a bulb goes out?
In-season maintenance is included. If something stops working, text/call and we’ll come fix it—usually within the next service window.
Will clips or cords damage my home?
We use non-invasive clips and professional practices designed for gutters, shingles, and fascia. No nails into roofing. We’ll discuss alternatives for specialty surfaces and gutter guards.
Power & timers—what do I need?
LEDs are efficient and typically run off existing outdoor GFCI outlets. A photocell or digital timer is included so your lights turn on at dusk and off on schedule.
Is this a rental or do I own the lights?
Most projects are a turnkey seasonal service (we supply, install, maintain, remove, and store). Ownership options can be discussed—ask in your quote if you prefer to purchase.
Deposits, payments, and changes?
A deposit may reserve your date; balance is due after install. We accept major cards and ACH. Need to adjust colors, add a wreath, or expand roofline? We’ll update your proposal before install.
HOA or permits?
Most homes don’t require permits. If your HOA has guidelines (colors, dates, visibility), include them in the quote notes and we’ll design within the rules.
Do you handle trees, shrubs, and roof peaks?
Yes—roof peaks, ridges, and landscape elements are common add-ons. We’ll recommend what looks best for your home’s architecture and budget.
Service area & minimums
We serve Sussex County, DE and nearby communities. A small project minimum may apply. Not sure if you’re in range? Mention your city in the quote form and we’ll confirm.
Weather, cancellations, and rescheduling
Safety first—high wind, heavy rain, or ice may shift your date. If you need to reschedule, just let us know; fees are rare unless materials were custom-cut.
After the season—what happens?
We remove everything in January and store it off-season. You’ll have first dibs on your preferred colors and layout next year, with quick re-booking.
